Lipophytol™
Overview
Lipophytol™ is a water dispersible plant sterols that is functioned for cholesterol reduction. The source of Lipophytol™ is from pine tree sterols which has been microencapsulated and promotes incorporation of phytosterols in food matrices. Plant sterols are approved by EFSA and FDA to reduce blood cholesterol. Based on the clinical study, Lipophytol™ significantly reduced the concentration of VLDL + LDL cholesterol in serum compared to control (high fat diet). This ingredient might also enhance the activity of phytosterols against hypertriglyceridemia and reduced damaged aorta.
